Bad Girls: Aung San Suu Kyi from Nestlings By Robin

 With the Chinese lunar new year
having recently passed I had
decided to write about an
Asian woman who had 
challenged and won against
the status quo of her day.

I started to write about
an icon from ancient
Chinese history and
as I read her story,
extraordinary as it is, there
are many moments of 
cruelty perpetrated by her
as was the case with any
reign of the time.
I will revisit her amazing
story but today I choose 
to focus on peaceful power.

Bad Girls: Elizabeth Blackwell from Nestlings By Robin

Did you know that February 1st is considered 
National Spunky Old Broads Day?
A lot of people have been offended by the term, 
Broad, but I have always found it to be a great 
descriptor for those women who were 
classy AND strong. 
They didn't back down from a fight and 
they did it with dignity!
